If you’re wondering why its taking so long to make a few sticks, this is why.
Molds for high and low tenors, high and low seconds, quads and chellos are done.
Currently i’ve gotten samples that were firstly too soft, then too hard. And neither have been in the correct material.
Currently at least 1 week lead time for sample production, 1.5 week shipping, 24 hours for email reply (timezone), nothing during weekends (cos who works them) plus language and cultural differences. Oh and, pretty much everyone in China dissapears for the whole of February (new year).
If anyone speaks chinese, and/or has a degree in rubber chemistry that could help speed things up (currently stuck on whether vulcanization affects shore hardness differently depending on material), get in touch 😉 Otherwise... they're done when they're done. Just banging out samples for now until we get close (at least another month away, probably 2 months with feb holidays). Then expect 1 month+ for final batch. And thats if nothing goes wrong. Which is 50/50 right now 🙂 :p If they're done for UK rama I'll be happy :\
